BRIDGE VIEW PARK
Offers a stunning view of the Mackinac Bridge, Lake Huron and Lake Michigan, and features a picnic area with plenty of parking space for both passenger vehicles, RVs, buses, and those with trailers. An on-site observation building allows you to discover the history and construction of the Mackinac Bridge. A telescope permits close-up views. Restrooms available inside the observation building.
AMERICAN LEGION MEMORIAL PARK
The longest stretch of accessible beach in downtown St. Ignace is found at this park, which anchors the southern end of the Huron Boardwalk. A quarter-mile-long
pebble beach is backed by a grassy lawn with benches, playground area, and a covered pavilion with picnic tables and grills. A picturesque gazebo is situated at the water’s edge and a veterans memorial and shipwreck preserve monument complete this beautiful park.
CHIEF WAWATAM PARK
Easily identified by the Wawatam Lighthouse that sits at the end of its pier, Chief Wawatam Park features several interactive activities sure to please kids and adults. The Splash Pad is the perfect place to cool off, with pulsating waters bubbling up from the concrete surface and a fountain misting those in its path. A fishing platform awaits anyone with a rod and reel, and the human sundial may provide the most entertaining clock in all of Michigan.
KIWANIS BEACH
A sandy shore is the hallmark of Kiwanis Beach. With picnic tables and a covered gazebo it is perfect for those who prefer a cozy setting
with protected waters. Downtown at the northern end of the Huron Boardwalk, across from the Museum of Ojibwa Culture, on State Street
LAKE MICHIGAN SAND DUNES
A must-see. Miles of beautiful, sandy beach perfect for swimming, picnics, and summer fun. Enjoy breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. US-2, 15 miles west of St. Ignace. Parking is available along the shoulder of the road.
DOCK #3 PARK
This city-owned park features a beautiful dock and park area with a picnic area and shelter, playground, pavilion, fishing pier, boat launch, basketball court, fish cleaning station, restrooms, interpretive signs and memorial gardens.
